Though one of the best exotic pets and a very friendly animal, rabbits do not like to be held. It could be a little challenging, but it is feasible to litter-educate your bunny so that you may occasionally let it play outside of its cage. Nevertheless, rabbits are always happy to stay close to their human pals.
Since rabbits also enjoy chewing and digging, if you plan to let them roam freely inside your house, make sure to invest enough time in rabbit-proofing the area and training the pet to avoid further damage.
If you plan to let your rabbit out of the cage for a brief period of time, make sure the cage you provide is big enough for them to have room to move around and breathe.
Make sure your newly adopted rabbit has been neutered and sprayed before attempting to bring it into your home for health reasons as well as to lessen territorial marking behaviors.
