#3 Whales

There are only 400 North Atlantic whales that are still living in the wild, with only 100 of them being female. The chances that they will make it and be able to rebuild their population are very slim.

However, that is just one of the six endangered species of great whales that could become completely extinct in the next few decades.

This happens to whales due to pollution. Many of them are endangered because they end up eating garbage thrown into the ocean or dying as a result of chemicals and other pollutants in the water. What’s more, a lot of them are poached and killed for commercial purposes every year, despite being endangered.
