SOS! 7 Wild Animals on the Brink of Extinction

#6 Bonobos

War destroys more than just human life and the places that are included in the war zone.

After all, a lot of people tend to discredit the fact that animals get caught in the wildfire as well, and this is the case with Bonobos as well.

Ever since the civil unrest started in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, these primates have become easier targets for poachers, and their habitat has continued to fall prey to the war, slowly limiting it.

The population of Bonobos has been declining, and nowadays researchers believe that only about 15,000 to 20,000 are still living in the wild. Yet, the bad news continues as scientists predict their population will decline massively in the next 50 years.

They are an endangered species that shows us, yet again, that war ruins biodiversity!
