The German Shorthaired Pointer is a dog breed that is perfect for those who are in love with outdoor activities. This dog is always up for an adventure and is very energetic. Even if it is a walk through the woods or a run along the beach, the German Shorthaired Pointer will want to join you for a morning jog. 

GSPs are easy to get along with and they will let you know when they are feeling playful. As they are known as hunting dogs, be prepared to play fetch with them. They hate being bored and this can lead to them playing the escape artist and exploring all the corners and wonders your neighborhood has to offer. 

Due to its short hair, this handsome dog breed needs a minimum amount of maintenance. A regular brush and the occasional bath are more than enough.
