3. Your dog is drinking more water

This one is closely related to the symptom mentioned before, but not in the way you might think. Your dog is not going to the bathroom more often because it drinks more water. It is actually the other way around. Because your pup is losing a lot of liquid now, it is dehydrated and needs to drink more water. This condition is called polydipsia.

If you notice that your dog is suffering from excessive thirst, this should not be a cause for concern if it doesn’t last more than a few days. Maybe they are very hot. Also, certain foods can cause extreme thirst. Sometimes dogs can drink a lot of water when they are bored. There can be many causes.

But if this lasts longer than a week, the best thing that you can do is take your buddy for a professional checkup and rule out the cause of this.
