Celebrities frequently have unusual pets simply because they can. It almost seems appropriate for some individuals, such as Dali and his anteaters. Think twice about it if you live in New Hampshire or Georgia, because they are prohibited as pets. In Oregon, on the other hand, you can obtain one with a permit.

The 10-pound tamandua, a small cousin of the giant anteater, is especially popular as a loving, non-violent companion in many states. Tamanduas enjoy eating termites and, you guessed it, ants, but this does not make them a good pest management tool, according to various experts.

Anteaters are native to Central and South America, and their food is the most difficult aspect of keeping one. They require a high protein intake but not as much fat. They may also dislike meals commonly available in captivity, like fruits and vegetables.

Because they are arboreal animals, these pals also require a lot of space to wander and climb. They are not sociable; in fact, we would say they are shy, so bonding with them may be tough.
